RAAQUU Fair Wage Policy

1. Purpose
RAAQUU, as part of Benchmark Ceramic Sdn Bhd, is committed to fostering a supportive and equitable workplace. This Fair Wage Policy aligns with Malaysian labor laws and our ethical responsibility to ensure employees receive fair compensation for their skills and contributions.

2. Scope
This policy applies to all full-time, part-time, and contract employees of Benchmark Ceramic Sdn Bhd, including those engaged in producing RAAQUU ceramic art.

3. Compliance with Malaysian Laws
RAAQUU adheres to the Malaysian Employment Act 1955, the National Wages Consultative Council Act 2011, and all amendments, ensuring all wages meet or exceed the minimum wage standard set by the Malaysian government.

  • Minimum Wage: As of the latest government mandate, the minimum wage is RM 1,500 per month (for Peninsular Malaysia) or its equivalent in hourly or daily rates.
  • Overtime Compensation: Employees are entitled to overtime pay in accordance with Section 60A of the Employment Act 1955.

4. Anti-Slavery and Anti-Child Labor
RAAQUU strictly prohibits all forms of modern slavery and child labor in its operations and supply chain.

  • Modern Slavery: We ensure no employee is subjected to forced labor, debt bondage, or exploitative conditions. Employment is voluntary, and employees have the freedom to terminate their contracts with reasonable notice.
  • Child Labor: In line with Malaysian laws and international standards, no individual below the legal minimum working age (15 years old) is employed. Hazardous work is strictly prohibited for individuals below 18 years old.

RAAQUU regularly audits its practices and supply chain partners to ensure compliance with these principles.

5. Fair Wage Determination
RAAQUU evaluates and sets wages based on the following principles:

  • Skill Level and Job Role: Ensuring that compensation reflects the skill requirements and responsibilities of each position.
  • Industry Standards: Benchmarking wages against similar roles in the ceramics and artisan industry.
  • Cost of Living Adjustments: Periodically reviewing wages to account for changes in the cost of living and inflation.

6. Timely Payment
Wages shall be paid no later than seven days after the end of each wage period, as mandated by Malaysian law. Any disputes regarding payment will be promptly addressed.

7. Non-Discrimination
RAAQUU commits to equal pay for equal work, regardless of gender, race, religion, or other personal attributes, in accordance with the Employment Act and related anti-discrimination regulations.

8. Employee Benefits
In addition to wages, RAAQUU employees are entitled to statutory benefits, including:

  • EPF (Employees Provident Fund) Contributions
  • SOCSO (Social Security Organisation) Contributions
  • Annual Leave and Sick Leave as stipulated in the Employment Act.

9. Professional Development
RAAQUU invests in the growth of its employees, offering skills training and opportunities to advance within the company. Periodic wage reviews are conducted to reward performance and skill enhancement.

10. Transparency
This policy and related wage structures are communicated clearly to all employees. Any changes to the policy will be shared promptly.

11. Grievance Mechanism
Employees can report concerns related to wage fairness, workplace ethics, or potential violations of this policy through an internal grievance process. Reports will be reviewed impartially and resolved in a timely manner.
